MilkPlays (“we”, “us”, “the site”) is a fan site for the MilkPlays Fortnite YouTube channel. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account details — if you register, your name and email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Google sign-in — if you choose “Sign in with Google”, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email address, and Google account ID) so we can create or log you into your account.
- YouTube subscription status — if you opt in to unlock subscriber-only features (such as posting comments on the Map of Drops), and only with your explicit consent, we ask Google whether your account is subscribed to the MilkPlays channel. We receive a simple yes/no subscription status — we do not receive your watch history, your other subscriptions, or any other YouTube data.
- Content you post — comments you submit are stored and shown publicly alongside your display name.
- Email preferences — your consent choices for transactional and promotional email.
- Basic technical data — standard request information (e.g., IP address and browser type) used to operate and secure the site.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
- To verify, with your consent, that you are subscribed to the channel so we can unlock subscriber features.
- To display the comments and content you choose to post.
- To send account/transactional email and, only if you opt in, occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site, and to moderate content.
Google API Services — Limited Use
milkplays.com’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, we request the youtube.readonly scope solely to verify whether
your account is subscribed to the MilkPlays YouTube channel, using the
forChannelId filter restricted to our own channel ID. This is required to
unlock subscriber-only features such as the Map of Drops comment section. We do not store,
share, sell, or use this data for advertising. We do not access your watch history,
playlists, or subscriptions to any other channel. You can revoke our access at any time
from your
Google account permissions.
This site’s use of information received from YouTube APIs is also subject to the
YouTube Terms of Service.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site:
- Google — for sign-in and subscription verification.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
- Resend — sending account and opt-in email.
- Embedded content — YouTube and Discord embeds, and Amazon affiliate links, are governed by those companies’ own privacy policies.
Public content
Comments you post are public and visible to anyone, shown with your display name. Please don’t share private information in comments. We may remove content that violates our Terms.
Data retention & your choices
- You can update your details or delete your account from your account page; deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to limited legal/operational retention.
- You can unsubscribe from promotional email at any time via the link in any such email.
- You can revoke Google access from your Google account permissions at any time.

Children
MilkPlays is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, encrypted secrets) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
